The right theme makes all the difference
Studio Press has lots of theme options specifically for food bloggers. Foodie Pro is one of several choices you’ll find when you explore their Genesis themes. If you’re unsure what you really want – or think you might want to change your theme regularly or have multiple websites – we encourage you to consider investing in lifetime access to all their themes. Yes, it’s an investment. But it’s one that can save you quite a bit over the years you work online. (It’s already MORE than paid for itself with us!)

kEEPING IN TOUCH WITH YOUR READERS
There is one email service providers I used and recommend and that’s Mailerlite.
They’ve got a free plan which is perfect for bloggers just starting out but they also have paid versions that have some awesome features and analytics. I particularly like the ability to schedule emails to go out by time zone and the ability to use what amounts to a “heat map” function. This gives you more specific information as to where precisely in the email your readers are clicking. This helps you design more effective emails!
Their interface is easy to use and you’ve got access to good data about your open rates, click through rates, etc. Your account, though, is only free till you hit 1,000 subscribers. After that you have to go on a paid plan.
However, I recently tried another email service provider (actually, I tried two different ones) and ended up coming back to Mailerlite. If you use my link you’ll get $20 off.
Learn to be a better food blogger
Food Blogger Pro is one of the best sites you can join to learn to be a better food blogger. You’ll find videos to help you create videos, manage your time, learn the technical side, and more. I’ve been a member and if you’re serious about your site…you need to take a look. The image below shows a sample of what you’ll find in the membership site.
WP Tasty Plugin
This plugin solves a food blogger’s problem of trying to optimize for SEO, Pinterest, and keyword linking. It also helps with nutrition labeling, formatting, and much more. It’s a yearly investment that will save you time, money, and frustration.
You need an editorial planner and place to keep all of your blogging information
I’ve used Meera Kothand’s CREATE Blog & Editorial Planner for several years now and I love it! You’ve got places to plan yearly, quarterly, and monthly goals as well as space to plan out blog posts, emails, and all those other tasks that make a successful blog. I’ve looked at other blog planners and this is the BEST!
You need the best calendar available to help you get it all done!

I don’t care how good you think your memory is or how much you love those cute little planners, if you’re serious about getting things done, then Planner Pad is a revolutionary planning system that is the best I’ve ever seen!
It works on a funnel system where you put tasks into “buckets” at the top of the page. This allows you to categorize tasks into things like “social media”, “graphics to make”, etc. From there you assign tasks to specific days and then into the time blocks where you’re going to work on them.
If you have lots to do (and I know you do!) then go watch the video and see how Planner Pad can cause a major shift in your ability to get things done…and to make sure that you’re getting the RIGHT things done!
